Tournement Introduction

The 4th Annual Hangover Open is less about perfect golf swings and more about surviving the first day of the year with dignity intact—kind of. What started as a scrappy attempt to gather 12 slightly coherent souls has evolved into a near-20-player spectacle of caffeine-fueled chaos. This isn’t Augusta National, folks—no Green Jacket here. We play for the true prize: bragging rights to lord over each other for 365 glorious days. Rain, shine, or that rare Arizona frostbite, we brave the elements, armed with Tylenol and questionable decisions from the night before. Some of us still smell like champagne; others are just figuring out where their ball goes after a shank into the desert.

The format is a 2-man scramble, where even the worst hackers can be heroes. Mulligans? Forget it. You’re already cheating with a partner, and double bogey is your safety net. But here’s the twist: after the round, we let Lady Luck have her say by randomly drawing 9 holes to determine the team scores. If there's a tie? Forget rock-paper-scissors; we settle it on the practice green in stealth mode, where blind putting will make or break champions.

Add in unexpected "course modifications" by mischievous teams, relentless trash talk, and the knowledge that someone's getting roasted in the group chat for the rest of the year, and you’ve got the most entertaining hangover cure imaginable. See you on the tee box—assuming you can find it!

Round Details

Please check-in and arrive at Aguila by 10:15am so we can do a head count and ensure we have all of our groups filled. We'll also have a little special kick off to the round. The green fees for this round will be $89 and includes range balls and cart. Please pay that in the clubhouse.

We'd like to also have (2) closest to the pin holes designated for #7 and #16. The buy in for this will be $10 and we'll collect that between all of us before the tee time (All forms of payment). Make sure to bring a little extra for group fun or compete with your group on #5 for the long drive (or worst drive).
